Dayan Viciedo Reinstated; Jordan Danks Demoted

As was announced Friday afternoon, Dayan Viciedo and the White Sox feel his rehab assignment with the AAA Charlotte Knights is complete, as they've reinstated "Tank" from the 15-day disabled list.

Though the White Sox haven't been able to break through and find any sort of consistently positive play, they have consistently gotten good pitching performances, so hopefully Viciedo's return can spark the offense to perform like we know they can.

So far in 2013, Viciedo has hit .229 through 48 at-bats with two home runs. On top of those under whelming numbers, he's also struck out 16 times while not walking once. Those numbers will all need to change drastically or else he could actually serve as a detriment starting in place of Dewayne Wise.

But given how hot the Tank can get, as we've seen multiple times throughout his career, paired with how anemic the team's offense has been, hopes from many are sky-high.

To make room for Viciedo on the 25-man roster, the team has sent down OF Jordan Danks, as Wise will now handle the backup outfielder duties by himself once again.

Danks only got 15 at-bats in his most recent stint with the big league club while only recording three hits (.200). He did, however, hit his second career game-winning home run just last week in Kansas City.

For you big Jordan Danks fans out there, don't fret … we'll see him again, and probably sooner rather than later.
