Founder, Managing Editor
Zach is a senior at Indiana University studying sport communication and telecommunications. He's very interested in the entire world of sports, especially the media side of the industry. He is chasing after a career in television, radio, or digital/new media.
He's interned with the NBC Sports Group and ESPN Chicago.
He founded GSB! in March of 2012, and his blogging career which has taken off since then. At first, he just wanted an outlet to talk about his beloved White Sox … but it didn't take long for him to realize how much potential the site had, which is when he began to build a staff for the site, listed below …
Editor, Featured Columnist
Luke Stanczyk has been a member of the GSB! Operation since the site's very early stages. He's a junior in college at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois and a lifelong White Sox fan.
Being someone who played baseball for a year at Benedictine and someone who still plays actively over his summers, Luke brings a lot of passion and knowledge about the game of baseball to GSB!
Stanczyk is already very experienced in the field of sports media.
Currently, he's the Athletics Communications Specialist at Benedictine, where he writes articles and press releases for the athletic department's website, does on-camera interviews with athletes, and does the play-by-play and color commentary for the webcasts of the sports teams. He also co-host's an internet sports talk radio show called "Raising the Bar," which airs from 10am-12pm CT on Mondays on benueagles.com.
Audio Producer, Columnist
Matt Hoeppner joined GSB! midway through the 2012 season and quickly became a regular contributor. He has a BA in Journalism from Michigan State University and has been a White Sox fan ever since he was Carlton Fisk for Halloween when he was three-years-old.
Matt currently works as a Pitch F/X operator for Major League Baseball at Comerica Park in Detroit after helping to set up the PFX system at US Cellular Field. He also works as a play-by-play announcer for the Michigan Regional Sports Network where he announces college basketball and baseball, junior hockey, high school football and WFA football.
Matt is looking forward to continuing to write about the White Sox and interacting with Sox fans through the site since he is, unfortunately, surrounded by Tigers fans in Detroit.
