Today’s afternoon ball game should be a fun one. After The White Sox comeback victory on Monday night, they should have some adrenaline pumping thr0ugh their veins. And in the last of the brief two-game set, there’s two fun pitchers to watch on the hill.
Jake Peavy takes the mound for the Sox, trying to improve upon his dominant campaign, and Max Scherzer looks to lower his ERA out of the 5’s. I think this game will come down to which Max Scherzer we see. We’ve seen the White Sox get to him early and often, and we’ve seen them squander and get shut down by the young right hander.
Peavy has been the stopper so far this year for the White Sox, so hopefully today he can be the……..continuer?
And although last night’s performance behind Dayan Viciedo, who drove in 4 runs and shut me up, the White Sox definitely need to aim to get off to a quicker start, both pitching and with their defense. If they do, Jake should be able to keep them in the game and it will come down to whether or not your White Sox offense can produce in enough clutch situations.
The Sox are only 1.5 games behind the Tigers now, so you know it’s a game they want pretty bad. So in succession to last night’s performance from the offense and the bullpen, “Don’t stop now boys!”
